Emission category E1
MDF is a wooden board made from fibres that are glued and pressed together in a panel. However, like the wood that it consists of, it releases small amounts of formaldehyde. It is an emission gas which is also released by the adhesives that are used and can have detrimental effects on health and the environment.
All our bathroom furniture complies with emission category E1. This means that they have a very low formaldehyde content and that no more than 0.1 ppm of formaldehyde is emitted.
